About Alexis Virginia Nees, M.D.
Alexis Virginia Nees, MD, is a radiologist specializing in Women’s Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æand an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-WeillCornell Campus.
Dr. Nees graduated from the University of Kentucky where she earned her B.S. in 1989. She earned her M.D. at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NewYork in 1994.
After an internship in the department of General Surgery, Dr. Nees completed her Fellowship training in Women’s Imaging at the University of Vermont-Fletcher Allen Health Care Burlington, Vermont. She achieved Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 2001. After subsequent years in clinical practice, Dr. Nees joined the faculty at Â鶹´«Ã½¸ßÇå°æ in September 2020 as an Assistant Attending of Radiology.
Majority of her research interests are in breast cancer and women’s imaging. She has also been actively involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
